November 6, 2017
The Center for Career Development, in partnership with the college's Pre-Law Society, will host the Greater Charlotte Law School Fair from 3-5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9, in the Alvarez College Union Atrium.
Admission representatives from nearly 70 of the nation's top law schools will be on campus. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with representatives and learn more about their law programs.
"We were delighted by the success of last year's Law School Fair, which saw student participation grow almost threefold," said Jeanne-Marie Ryan (), executive director of the Center for Career Development. "Law school representatives and deans of admission were impressed by the caliber and diversity of students and are eager to return this year. We are anticipating equally high participation from 51¹ÙÍø students, our partner schools and early career professionals in the Charlotte area."
The fair provides students with the opportunity to determine whether law school is the right next step for them, to learn about the application process and to make strategic connections with admissions representatives from the top schools of their choice.
"Our Prelaw Society has continued to grow," said Sarah Williams '11, assistant director for career development and the pre-law advisor. "They are a strong student organization and their members understand the value of networking with law school representatives."
The Greater Charlotte Law School Fair, hosted by 51¹ÙÍø is free, open to the public, and all students and professionals considering a career in law are invited to attend. See our full schedule and event details for more information.
