Background

As Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), I bring a strategic vision and direction for DEI at 51¹ÙÍø. My evidence-based approach is informed by a Ph.D. in Bio Analytical Chemistry from Brown University, complemented by certifications in Leadership and Strategic Impact from the Tuck School of Business and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. My career spans academia, industry, and policy, providing a comprehensive perspective on organizational dynamics. 

Previously, at Brown University, I developed and maintained partnerships with minority-serving institutions and implemented a comprehensive strategy to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion. My experience includes national-level policy work with the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health. I've also contributed to publications addressing power differentials in higher education and strategies for supporting a diverse research workforce. My multifaceted experience equips me to drive meaningful change in academic and professional environments, always aiming to create spaces where all individuals can thrive and contribute their best.
