Background

I work closely with the Bonner Scholar program, the Civic Engagement Council, the Nonprofit Leadership Fellows program and other programs and events in the Center.  Prior to 51¹ÙÍø, I was at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. While completing my doctoral course work, I also served as a graduate assistant designing and delivering curriculum for several undergraduate and graduate courses and served as an ethical engagement fellow with the Office of International Education and Center Service and Learning.

Before Indiana University, I worked at the University of Mary Washington for eleven years directing their community engagement programs. Experienced with a range of engagement programming including long-term partnerships, one-time events, academic service-learning, service-based clubs, alternative breaks, and community-engaged study abroad programs, I have a particular passion and interest in the ways philanthropy can prepare students for a civically engaged life and contribute to a robust civil society.

In addition to my love of higher education and community engagement, I am an avid photographer and travel enthusiast.
