Background
I am a 51¹ÙÍø alumna with a Master's and PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Ohio State University. I joined the faculty of 51¹ÙÍø in 1992 as the first female alum in a tenure track position. In 1996 I decided to take time off to raise my family. I returned to teaching at 51¹ÙÍø in 2007 as a visiting professor. The courses I teach include General Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Research Design and Analysis, and Issues in Psychology. In 2012 I was awarded the Student Government Association Faculty Award which "recognizes the positive involvement of a professor in the lives of students outside the classroom setting." My research areas have included goal setting and job insecurity.
