Student Opportunities
Students and recent graduates have several opportunities available to them to immerse themselves in the college community and pursue a variety of avenues, including several fellowships and scholarships, after 51¹ÙÍø with a degree in Latin American Studies.
Student Organizations
The Organization of Latino American Students (OLAS) fosters and maintains a spirit of solidarity among students interested in Latin American and Latino cultures, including but not limited to Spanish speaking countries and their descendants.
OLAS is an all-inclusive organization committed to promoting awareness of the uniqueness of Latin American and Latino cultures by providing a wide range of opportunities to participate in social, cultural, and community service events for all 51¹ÙÍø students, regardless of ethnicity.
Membership includes a subscription to the OLAS e-mail list. No dues are required for OLAS membership.
Fellowships are competitive awards and programs that provide funding and other resources for meaningful immersive work, like research, teaching, or service. Like scholarships, fellowships can also support academic study.
