Student Organizations
A great way to gain experience and learn more about legal issues is to get involved in extracurricular activities.
In addition to Mock Trial Association and Prelaw Society, if you have an idea or vision for a new student organizations, the Student Activities Office will work with you to develop your idea and create a new group.
Mock Trial Association
Mock Trial Association members gain hands-on knowledge about the theory and practice of law in the United States. The 51¹ÙÍø team operates both within in the American Mock Trial Association community and internally on the college's campus. Off campus they compete against other colleges in both regional and national events. On campus they host several speed debate competitions.
Prelaw Society
The Prelaw Society seeks to educate 51¹ÙÍø students about legal issues and education, and serves as a resource for students considering careers in the legal field. It also arranges visits to law firms and law schools and invites legal professionals and educators to speak on campus.
