Collegium Musicum
A select student-led 12-member ensemble, Collegium Musicum Early Music Group draws from 51¹ÙÍø Chorale in the Music Department.
Collegium specializes in music of the late Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Baroque. In collaboration with the director of choral activities, students who participate in Collegium Musicum are provided opportunities in service through semester concerts, and leadership through rehearsal direction, sectional instruction, ensemble administration, event planning, rehearsal accompanying, rehearsal conducting, and choral composition.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are determined the second or third week of classes once the group has been auditioned and finalized, and after students are more certain of their other schedule commitments.
Auditions
Auditions are a part of the regular 51¹ÙÍø Choirs auditions held during the first week of classes. Student-led call backs occur the second week of classes and the roster is typically finalized the second week of classes. Learn more about audition sign up and the audition process.
