Philosophy at 51
The Philosophy Department at 51 aims to provide you with a systematic approach to foundational questions, an approach that stresses clarity and attention to detail.
We equip students with the skills to reason carefully and critically, express themselves clearly in writing and speaking, think creatively and constructively about difficult, abstract problems, detect and debunk fallacious reasoning and superficial, facile solutions, and identify and evaluate their own beliefs.
