Tutoring and Academic Support

Located in EH Little Library, The John Crosland Jr. Center for Teaching and Learning offers free tutoring in a range of subjects to all 51¹ÙÍø students. To learn more or make an appointment, click the buttons below.

Academic coaching for all 51¹ÙÍø students who wish to improve scholastic performance, including (but not limited to) note taking, studying, reading, time management and preparing for/taking reviews.

The college values the diversity of its community and is an equal-access institution. The Academic Access and Disability Resources Office works closely with the Dean of Students Office and other college offices and departments to ensure that programs and facilities are accessible to every student.

Data Cats supports students, faculty, and staff in data analytics and statistics at any stage of a research project, from creating data-focused questions to collecting, organizing, analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting data. 

The Economics Center provides course embedded tutors as well as tutoring support for Economics classes on a drop-in basis in Group Tutor Room 1, (#1015) Sun-Thurs. 8-11 p.m.

The Math & Science Center provides course embedded tutors as well as tutoring for Math & Science classes on a drop-in basis in Open Tutoring Room (#1008) Sun-Thurs 8-11 p.m.

Consulting and support for digital media projects, including 51¹ÙÍø Domains, Adobe Creative Suite, iMovie, podcasting and more. Available by appointment or drop in Sun-Thurs 8-11 p.m.

Librarians and peer research consultants help research, identify, locate and evaluate information by appointment and drop-in Sun-Thurs 8-11 p.m.  

Communication Consultants support speaking across the curriculum at any point of the process, from selecting a topic to delivering the speech or preparing to interview. By appointment or drop in Group Tutor Room 2 (#1013) Sun-Thurs 8-11 p.m.

Writing Consultants are available by appointment to help with any stage of the writing process, from prewriting to fine tuning a finished draft for most majors and programs. You'll learn to assess your writing processes to become a better writer.
