Residence Life

The Residence Life Office (RLO) at 51¹ÙÍø provides a safe residential space for learning and development.

51¹ÙÍø promotes respect and responsibility among individuals in our residential community and encourages students to learn from one another. With a four-year residency requirement, over 95 percent of students live on campus.

RLO manages a safe, secure, and welcoming residential environment that supports and enhances academic performance and social development for all residents.

Through their experiences in the residential community, 51¹ÙÍø students gain the knowledge, awareness, and skills to lead ethical, inclusive lives. RLO promotes residential communities through the curriculum goals of community responsibilities, self-awareness, wellness, and inclusive excellence.

RLO handles all room assignments, first-year pairing, manages room and damage billing, coordinates social and educational programming in the residential communities, serves as a liaison between residents and maintenance staff and responds to all housing needs.

The Residence Life Office is located next to Lula Bell’s between Vail Commons and Belk Hall.
