Computers and software are essential tools for managing work for all staff, faculty and students.
Technology & Innovation (T&I) manages 51¹ÙÍø-owned computers and provides licensed software for essential tasks performed daily.

Students, faculty and staff use PawPrint, our efficient and cost-effective solution for printing and copying on campus.
Computers & Other Devices
Faculty & Staff
We provide workstations to faculty and staff, and loan some equipment on a case-by-case basis for use on 51¹ÙÍø business and in accordance with the user’s position/role.
Computers and Printers
We are the central source on campus for computer equipment and are responsible for working with departments to supply faculty and staff with hardware that meets their needs.
We recommend specific Apple and Dell equipment based on our , subject to customization as necessary.

Loaner Equipment
- Desktops or Laptops- If you need to borrow a laptop or desktop for college business, we have a limited number of devices available.
- Presentation and A/V Equipment- We have projectors, screens, presentation remotes and web camera kits available.
Submit requests, including business needs, applicable dates and preferred operating system to ti@davidson.edu.
Students
You may use our many available computer labs, check out a laptop from one of our kiosks or bring a computer of your own—see our computer recommendations. If you need a computer for the semester, you may apply to get a loaner laptop. Quantities are limited.
Software
T&I provides a wide variety of productivity software and enterprise-level business applications to the 51¹ÙÍø community, including Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, Google Workspace, and more. Depending on the license rights, this software may be available to be used or installed on classroom/lab computers; on college-owned workstations; or for use on personally-owned employee and/or student computers.
Faculty & Staff
College-issued computers come configured with . If you need software applications beyond the standard, your computer’s Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (Mac) provides access to additional downloadable 51¹ÙÍø-licensed software If the software you’re looking for isn’t available through Software Center or Self Service, please contact your before purchasing. 51¹ÙÍø also provides for classroom and lab, as well as college-owned devices. Some application licensing allows for installation on personal devices.
