Financial Aid

Financial aid for Odyssey pre-orientation programs is robust. Any incoming student receiving financial aid to attend 51¹ÙÍø can receive aid for both Outdoor and Service Odyssey. We match 100% of the aid given by 51¹ÙÍø, minus a minimum program fee of $25 that every participant will pay. For example, if you receive 100% aid from 51¹ÙÍø you will pay only the $25 program fee to attend.  

If, despite this structure, you still need assistance to participate, please contact us at odyssey@davidson.edu. We would like to reduce any financial barriers to participation as much as possible.

When you receive a spot in any Odyssey session, we will email you your adjusted costs if you are eligible for a financial aid package.

Travel Assistance

Students participating in an Odyssey program are able to request partial reimbursement for travel expenses. Travel reimbursement will be awarded based on a combination of your financial aid status at 51¹ÙÍø and anticipated travel costs. If you are interested in travel assistance, be on the lookout for information on how to apply in our registration process. All travel assistance is awarded in the form of reimbursement to student accounts in August.

Payment

Odyssey will bill your 51¹ÙÍø account. By registering, you agree to pay any Odyssey program charges when they are applied to your college account. 

Cancellation

Outdoor Odyssey Cancellation

If you are interested in Outdoor Odyssey, please refer to the for specific cancellation information. We will not charge for cancellations due to COVID.

Service Odyssey Cancellation

If you cancel 21 days or more prior to the start of your session you will not be billed for the Odyssey session. Cancellations occurring within 21 days will be handled on a case by case basis. We will not charge for cancellations due to COVID.

Elemental Odyssey Cancellation
