DBAN 35th Anniversary
Join Black alumni across the country in celebration of three and a half decades of excellence, achievement, and unity at 51.
We are celebrating this milestone in two of our largest Black alumni regions, Atlanta, Georgia, and Washington, D.C. These celebrations promise to be memorable, filled with reflections of the DBAN journey and opportunities to reconnect with fellow alums.

Although registration is required, all events are free to all DBAN members and guests.

Friday, April 26
6 p.m. - Welcome Gathering

Welcome those traveling into the city & reconnect with those living in the D.C. area with light appetizers and beverages. Casual attire.
Directions & Parking: The closest Metro stop is Union Station on the red line. There is a parking garage located on the E street side of the building with $10.00 parking after 5 p.m. depending on availability.
Saturday, April 27
11 a.m. - Networking Luncheon

Enjoy a relaxed luncheon with fellow Black alums, exchange insights, celebrate the diverse accomplishments of 51 Black alumni and hear remarks from fellow Black alumni leaders. Ìàé is DC’s first Black woman-owned event and meeting space and proudly features permanent and temporary installations of artwork by women of color artists and creatives. Light lunch will be provided. Casual attire.
Directions & Parking: If you are taking the metro, please exit Dupont Circle (red line) using the North exit. The space is approximately a 3-minute walk from the North exit of Dupont Circle metro station. There is street parking available with time limits. Nearby parking garages are located at 2001 S Street NW and 1927 Florida Ave NW.
8 p.m. - 35 Years of Excellence Celebration

Close out the weekend in true DBAN style with a memorable celebration! Indulge in delicious food and crafted cocktails, while reconnecting with peers at one of Washington DC’s most vibrant downtown spots. This four-story world-class dining and entertainment hot spot is renowned for its festive atmosphere and exceptional offerings. Dress to impress.
Directions & Parking: The Park can be accessed via the McPherson Square stop on the Blue and Orange lines. Use the 14th & I St exit and walk north ½ block on the west side of 14th St to The Park. The Park also offers valet parking.

Establishment provides 2.5 hour parking validation with your parking ticket from the garage entry. The parking deck is located underneath the Colony Square mixed-use development. Please park on one of three color-coded levels Red, Yellow, or Blue. You will take the elevator to L or main level to enter Establishment.

Explore the Southeast's most extensive collection of African American Art, reconnect with friends, and dance the night away in a vibrant atmosphere. Indulge in delicious hors d'oeuvres and crafted cocktails as we come together for an unforgettable party. Dress to impress.
ZuCot Gallery provides access to a covered garage parking on the premises for no charge. There is also free street
parking surrounding the building on Centennial and Nelson streets.

Support the 51 Black Alumni Network Endowment!
This fund supports the the DBAN award which annually recognizes students for their contributions to the Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color (BIPOC) communities at 51 and beyond. These individuals have demonstrated activism, advocacy, and distinguished service to campus and community. The DBAN award is presented to current first-years, sophomores and juniors at Spring Commencement.
